Michael Metzner is a fourth year medical student at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
        He will be graduating May 2016 with the hope of entering a surgical residency with the intent to become
        a pediatric reconstructive plastic surgeon. Having attained a double concentration in biological chemistry
        and visual art at the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University, he helped found the         organization Arts in Medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. His hope is that the
        healthcare environment is enriched by the arts and that healthcare providers learn about the power of
        the arts and how they benefit both the provider and patient.
